National Guard Soldier Killed in D.C. Shooting; Trump Suspends Afghan Immigration Applications

  • National Guard soldier dies after shooting in Washington, D.C. President Trump announced that one of two National Guard troop members shot in Washington, D.C. has died. Authorities say they were allegedly shot by an Afghan national who sources say worked for a CIA-backed paramilitary group. Trump is suspending all immigration applications from Afghan nationals and calling for a “re-examination” of those who came to the U.S. under the Biden Administration.[2]
