My wife and I do not watch much television. When we do it seems every other commercial is either about gambling or prescription drugs.
At the end of the gambling commercials they offer a telephone number for people who have a gambling problem. Do they really think pushing it the way they do helps the problem?
The pharmaceutical commercials are just as bad. They seem to come up with new diseases all the time. Then there are the possible side effects, which are almost comical.
Drug companies won’t be satisfied until every man, woman and child is on some prescription medication. They are a different kind of drug dealer, but they are drug dealers, make no mistake.
Sometimes you have an itch so you just scratch it, and you don’t need a drug to fix the problem.
